Robust Contorted Pyrrosia , P. lingua var eboshi is extremely easy to cultivate. I have maintained this variety for about many years now and have not experienced any problems with its care. It is slow to grow when compared to others but still will fill a basket in about 3 seasons, and produces very short rhizomes with stunted curled fronds. At maturity, individual leaves can be 8-10 inches long and 2 inches across at the middle. The fronds are asymmetrical with many twisted, curled and wavy leaves. I have not seen it producing fertile fronds with spores. A relatively recent introduction to the US from Asian collections, still considered a hard to find variety likely due to is slow growth.
