A another new import from Japan and very robust and easy to cultivate. I imported this variety from Japan about 2 years ago and it has done very well. It is a decent fast grower but not a large plant. The leaves are only 6-8 inches long and and the basal portion is narrow but irregular with lobing.  Overall, it produces a much smaller leaf than other crested varieties of P. lingua.  Each leaf terminates with wide ornate crests that are very "frilly". The ultimate segments of "Sango cristata" are more divided and filiform when compared to other crested cultivars that I have. THE TIPS HAVE LOTS OF TINY FINGERS!
