Pyrrosia lingua var. "Hiryu"

Small Serrate Japanese Tongue Fern
SORRY BUT CANNOT SHIP TO CALIFORNIA

I have had this variety for perhaps twenty years or more.  It was imported long ago by Barry Yinger when he operated Asiatica Nursery in PA.  The leaves are only 8-12 inches long and the teeth or lobes are numerous.  It looks identical to variety Kei Kan with the exception that Kei Kan gets much larger as it mature.  Hiryu never gets as large as an older Kei Kan.  Having said that, if I did not keep the labeled they would be very difficult to distinquish the two.   Overall, Hiryu produces a much smaller leaf as an older plant.  It is a fast grower and fills out a pot or basket in one season.

A single nice division: $30

As always you must email me to determine which plants are available.  I usually divide plants in early spring (Feb, March & April) and begin offering divisions for sale at that time but sometimes I have many for sale throughout the year.  Click my name below to send an inquiry, thanks
